| Alrighty then kids. It's been a long time coming but I'm back. Sorry to leave you all hanging for so long. I know that you have all been anxiously anticipating my return. Well you can all stop holding your breathe now. Clearly too much has happened since the last time I updated to really inform you all of the nuances that are my life....wow clearly. So lets start with the good stuff. Like...oh I don't know...my WEDDING.Well Danna and I are happily engaged to be married on June 11. The wedding is in Selinsgrove Pa which is conveniently located between her family and my family. The ceremony is going to be outside at Tedd's on the Hill which overlooks Selinsgrove, Shamokin Dam and the Susquehanna River and its gonna be beautiful. I can't even explain to you how much I am looking forward to marrying Danna.....34 days. Oh man. I so wish you could all be there but unfortunately space and money only allows for so many. Sigh. Here is a pic of Danna and I on the night we got engaged.
I asked her to marry me at Hershey Park (the place we met for the very 1st time) while we were on the choo choo train. She said yes. Woot. This picture was taken just after the big question was popped. Check out that rock.
Alright. A few things. I've changed a few things in my profile and added some new sweet links. Be sure to check those out.

| Alright so I totally stole this idea (Eric Miller stole it from somebody and then Mark Artrip and Erin Cooper stole it from Eric, so now I am stealing it from all of them) but it was way too cool to pass up. The game is this: open up Itunes and set shuffle to your entire library and then post the first 20 songs that come up no matter how ridiculous or emberassing they are. So here goes here is my shuffle list from a library of 3623 songs.
Song/Artist/Album/ (Random comments) 1. Dare / Gorillaz / Demon Days (Amazing album especially Fire Coming Out of the Monkey's Head which features a monologue by Dennis Hopper) 2. Crying Shame / Jack Johnson / In Between Dreams (Amazing chill time album, but only during the summer and I mean it (ask Khloe/Cory/ Zach about that one)) 3. The Ghost / mewithoutYou / [A--> B] Life (mewithoutYou rock) 4. Sorry so Sorry / Howie Day / Australia [Daze] (Haven't really listened to Howie Day too much yet) 5. Gimme a Chance / Ghoti Hook / Retrospective (Long live Ghoti Hook one of my favorite live bands of all time. any band that tosses buttered biscuits into the moshing audience is amazing in my book) 6. Thinking About You / Radiohead / Pablo Honey (Oh how I love you Radiohead. Check out two of the band members guest appearance in the new Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire movie.) 7. People's Revolution: Death of Chou Yuan / John Corigliano / The Red Violin Soundtrack (Great soundtrack with some sweet violin action.) 8. Falling / Ben Kweller / Sha Sha (haven't really listened to Ben Kweller too much. kinda reminds me of Ben Folds with a guitar instead of a piano.) 9. Little Things / Bush / Sixteen Stone (Aaah a classic. I grew up on Sixteen Stone and Razorblade Suitcase. Its those Little things that Kill my friends.) 10. Mack the Knife / Bobby Darin / Thats all (Great song which was put on my computer to make a cd for my Dad. a worthy addition though) 11. Peaches / Presidents of the United States of America / ??????? (I have almost this entire song memorized. a personal favorite of Brady Graham) 12. I'm OK, You're OK / MxPx / At the Show (A great song off of a great live album by one of the best Punk bands of all time in my humble opinion) 13. Petrified Heart / Caedmon's Call / 40 Acres (I love this album) 14. Babe I'm Gonna Leave Ya / Led Zeppelin / The Best of Led Zeppelin Vol. I (Led Zeppelin is the second greatest band of all time only surpassed by the Beatles) 15. When I Go Down / Relient K / Mmhmm (I enjoyed Mmhmm. a more mature sound for the band. However I do miss the days of The Anatomy of the Tongue in Cheek. They need to write more songs about the Thundercats) 16. Crab / Weezer / (Green Album) (The Green Album isn't quite the Blue Album but then again what is. Weezer will always have a place in my heart) 17. Another Round / Foo Fighters / In Your Honor (Disc 2) (I love this whole disc. Tim introduced this disc to Khloe who introduced it to me. The acoustic disc is amazing) 18. Make A Joyful Noise / David Crowder Band / Open the Eyes of My Heart (A random David Crowder Band song off of a worship album I have.) 19. Whatever You Ask / Operation Barnabas / (Seriously are you joking me. I don't think that I will ever forget the lyrics to this song nor the sweet tenor part. Still brings tears to all of us OB alums) 20. Straw Dog / Something Corporate / Leaving Through the Window ( I have like three Something Corporate albums and haven't really listened to them too much. Josh Bitner likes them though and even has one of their shirts)
Alright there it is my honest to goodness randomly shuffled 20 songs. Not too bad....I'm sure all of you OB peeps are chuckling with #19. I was also happy to see the inclusion of Peaches which is a youth group car ride favorite.

| Thanksgiving was sweet. I really needed that time away. I really needed that Thanksgiving dinner as well. I was at Danna's house Monday through Thursday. It was great seeing her family and spending some time with them. We watched Darsie's powder puff game, took the kiddies to see new Harry Potter, played fetch with Scrappy, put up Christmas lights at her Grandpas, ate warm STICKY BUNS, listened to bear hunting stories, wrestled with her brothers....and lots of other stuff. I love it up there. For those of you who don't know "up there" is Williamsport area. It is roughly 2.5 hours Northwest of Lancaster. It is an area that is very unique. I could listen to her Dad talk Williamsport history for hours, it really is very interesting. Her family lives outside of the city in I guess you could pretty much say in the boonies. To get to her house you turn onto this little side road which ends up turning into her driveway. Her driveway is a stone/dirt road roughly a 1/4 mile long. Her house is a converted hunting cabin that lies at the bottom of a mountain in a little hollow. It is so beautiful because it is right at the foot of a mountain surrounded by woods with a tiny stream running right through her yard next to the pasture where their cows hang out. You should ask Danna sometime about her love for lady bugs......Times spent there are so peaceful and relaxing. The older I get the more I appreciate and desire to spend time with family. Kaley was home when we returned back to Lititz so it was great to spend precious few moments with her between her writing a 20 page paper and chatting online with Dusty. Wish I would have had more time with her. Anywho. This thanksgiving was all about the family and friends which is how it should be. I am so thankful for God's blessing of family.

| Life just happens. ya know what I mean? Its on from one thing to the next to the next to the next and then bam your entire life is changed.....or maybe thats just another next thing. Its like theres this thing called the future out there right. clearly we can prepare but it is in God's hands. the present is all that we really have. Clearly after 23 years of this stuff I'm an expert.....I guess I just suck at making the most of the moment. Drinking deeply and savoring the moments that make up an ordinary minute/hour/day/month/year....wait a sec....where did all that time go? The moment is a precious gift that our God has given us. I wish I didn't squander so many of them. So that was random. Sometimes I struggle with the future. Sometimes my faith and trust is so weak and my grip holding onto my comfort and desires is so strong. I love when scripture call's God a rock. Psalm 18:1,2 for instance. Hard to put into words the peace those verses give me right now...It makes me feel okay. there are those times when I just feel so spread out and confused. sometimes I don't even understand myself. In those moments of weakness and confusion amidst the raging sea that is Khyle there is God. A rock. A refuge. I wish I took shelter in this rock more often. Living life through the strength of the rock. So I've totally been crushing on Elizabeth Barrett Browning lately.
Sonnets From the Portugese X Elizabeth Barrett Browning
Yet, love, mere love, is beautiful indeed And worthy of acceptation. Fire is bright, Let temple burn, or flax; an equal light Leaps in the flame from cedar-plank or weed: And love is fire. And when I say at need I love thee...mark!...I love thee--in thy sight I stand transfigured, glorified aright, With conscience of the new rays that proceed Out of my face toward thine. There's nothing low In love, when love the lowest: meanest creatures Who love God, God accepts while loving so. And what I feel, across the inferior features Of what I am, doth flash itself, and show How that great work of Love enhances Nature's.
